HEARTLAND MX SERIES SCHEDULE IS IN!

UPR Rules for Figure 8 race

To keep driver expenses and changes low our rules are primarily the same as the NE Figure 8 rules. Must be 5 vehicles in a class to qualify for purse money above 100% payback.

Pick-Up Class

This is a new class to the state and is in the “experimental” phase.  For this October 10th event we will stick to HOBO or STOCK class rules.  If trucks attend that would fall under open class rules we will run pick-ups in 2 classes – Stock & Open.  For now we are hoping to have enough vehicles for 1 class… we know of 4 that are complete and attending.

Whether you are competing in / building a Stock or Open Class pick-up you must follow Stock or Open Class rules for cars with the following exceptions & additions.

  1. Roll cage- Rear supports or kickers are recommended but not mandatory & must fasten between rear axle & cab.
  2. Fuel Tanks- Must be mounted in bed of truck – between rear axle & cab.  If using rear cage supports mount fuel tank between case mounting points.
  3. Hearses, El Caminos & Rancheros may compete in the pick-up stock or open classes.
  4. Pick-up truck class exceptions are noted in car stock and open rules.
  5. For this one event “HOBO” trucks will be allowed: Strip it, cage it, put in seat and harness, mount your fuel tank & battery and let’s go racing!
